Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the SnapQuote AI platform, web application, mobile applications, AI estimating utilities, voice walkthrough engines, or payment processing tools (collectively, the “Service”) operated by SnapQuote AI (“SnapQuote”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
SNAPQUOTE AI IS A SOFTWARE UTILITY PROVIDING PRELIMINARY ADVISORY ESTIMATIONS ONLY. All outputs generated by our artificial intelligence models—including automated room dimensions, visual defect bounding boxes, material quantities, labor hours, trade rates, and regional cost indices—are mathematical approximations intended solely as assistive drafts.
- Sole Contractor Responsibility: The licensed contractor or user maintains 100% independent professional responsibility for conducting physical on-site inspections, verifying structural conditions, measuring exact dimensions, ensuring local building code compliance (IRC, IBC, NEC), and validating final pricing before submitting any proposal to a client.
- No Engineering or Architectural Warranty: SnapQuote AI is not an engineer, architect, licensed general contractor, or building code inspector. We disclaim any liability for mathematical discrepancies, unspotted latent defects, material shortages, or code infractions.
1Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility
By creating an account, accessing our dashboard, generating an estimate, or approving a quote generated by the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age, possess the legal authority to enter into these Terms, and agree to be bound by all conditions herein.
2Contractor-Client Independence & Platform Immunity
• Third-Party Contracts: Any agreement, contract, or scope of work formed between a contractor and a property owner/client is solely between those respective parties. SnapQuote AI is not a party to, nor an agent or guarantor of, any construction, remodeling, repair, or maintenance contract.
• Zero Construction Liability: SnapQuote AI shall have zero legal or financial liability for workmanship defects, property damage, water intrusion, electrical faults, personal injury on job sites, project abandonment, delays, or mechanics liens arising from projects quoted through the Service.
3Payments, Stripe Connect & BNPL Financing Terms
Deposit payments, subscription billings, and client transactions are powered by Stripe Connect and integrated Buy-Now-Pay-Later partners (including Affirm, Klarna, and Afterpay):
- Platform Fee: SnapQuote AI deducts a 1.0% technology platform fee on client deposits collected via Stripe Destination Charges to cover infrastructure and software maintenance.
- Lending Disclaimers: SnapQuote AI is not a bank, broker, or direct lender. Installment financing, 0% APR promotions, and loan eligibility determinations are made solely and independently by third-party BNPL providers according to their separate credit criteria.
- Chargebacks & Disputes: In the event of a customer chargeback, payment dispute, or reversal, the contractor is solely responsible for resolving the claim with Stripe and the property owner.
4Intellectual Property & Proprietary Protection
All rights, title, and interest in and to the SnapQuote AI platform—including our proprietary AI prompt architectures, Gemini 3.7 spatial defect detection pipeline, regional pricing databases, voice estimating workflows, and UI components—remain the exclusive intellectual property of SnapQuote AI. You agree not to copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or create derivative works from our software.
5Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
IN NO EVENT SHALL SNAPQUOTE AI, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR PARTNERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUE, WORK STOPPAGES, MATERIAL OVERRUNS, OR LITIGATION COSTS ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL BE STRICTLY LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF: (A) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (\$100.00 USD), OR (B) THE TOTAL SUBSCRIPTION FEES PAID BY YOU TO SNAPQUOTE AI IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
6Contractor Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SnapQuote AI and its officers from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and legal expenses arising out of: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) any estimate, quote, or contract you deliver to a third party; (c) any construction or trade work performed by your business; or (d) your violation of these Terms or applicable municipal laws.
7Dispute Resolution & Mandatory Arbitration
Any dispute or claim arising out of these Terms shall be resolved through confidential, binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA), rather than in court. YOU EXPRESSLY WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.
